About ECHO's 5K "Strut Your Stuffing"Turkey Trot:
For the 4th year in a row we will come together on Thanksgiving morning for a great cause. Some will run, some will walk, some just like to parade down the street in their costumes! Either way, we all keep coming back because we believe in Project ECHO.
Tips and guidelines for event day:
Avoid the line at 6 a.m. and guarantee yourself a shirt by registering as soon as possible. Early registration will be accepted through midnight of November 18th.
Pre-registration packets will be available for pickup at Project ECHO on November 24th and 25th from 12:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m.
Same-day registration will be available the morning of the race beginning at 6:00 a.m. However, participants who choose not to pre-register may face a longer line and a delayed start time. They also are not guaranteed a shirt. Please do yourself (and us) a favor by pre-registering as early as possible.
Wear a Thanksgiving Day costume! We want to see Turkeys, Pilgrims and Native American Indians. There will be a prize for best costume so be creative and show us how you strut your stuffing!
This is a fun, healthy way for the whole family to give “Thanks” on Thanksgiving while giving back to the community. Want to get in a Thanksgiving Day workout while simultaneously helping the homeless? So do we! Register early and join us as we strut our stuffing for the homeless families in our community.
Times and locations:
The race is scheduled to begin at 7:00 a.m. for runners and 7:15 a.m. for walkers and strollers. We anticipate the event will end at approximately 9:00 a.m.
The race begins and ends at The Arc of Southern Maryland on West Dares Beach Rd. The route runs the length of Prince Frederick Blvd from The Arc to 231 where the first turn around occurs, to Stoakley Rd where the second turn around occurs, back to The Arc.

About Project ECHO:
Project ECHO Inc. provides emergency shelter to homeless men, women, and children. Entire families from our community have been able to rely on Project ECHO for the past 22 years. Since this nonprofit organization opened its doors in 1993, it has offered a safe, sober, drug and alcohol free environment, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In 2014 alone, the ECHO House provided over 12,000 bed nights and nearly 27,000 hot meals to those we serve. Many of these meals are provided by local Ministries and Civic Organizations. It's this kind of generosity that makes it possible for us to provide shelter to those in need and to provide food to those who are hungry.

Project ECHO thanks YOU!
As always, thank you for your support of Project ECHO! The homeless in our community give thanks to you today, Thanksgiving Day, and every other day, too. They know that Project ECHO is able to provide warm beds to sleep in and nutritious meals to eat because of the generosity of this community, because of each of you.
